A senior health official said that they began making a door-to-door visit after 16:00 to vaccinate the elderly and disabled people.
About 400 people like it were vaccinated.
However, confusion applies in several places after people are asked to bring more evidence of identity other than Aadhaar.
T Solomon, 71, from Veerapandi near PeriyanacenickaTalayam, said that he had to go home from the vaccination center to get the voter ID card after the staff insisted on the second identity proof.
The official health said that many of the aadhaar numbers have been ordered for vaccination because they cannot produce a vaccination certificate.
