Guwahati: Chairman of Himanta Minister Buswa Sarma on Monday inform the state assembly that 1.36 lakh (1.36,173) was delayed in foreign tribangals (ft) in Assam.
Sarma, who also holds a home portfolio, was declared in a written reply to the MLA Congress, Sherman Ali Ahmed that 181 detenues were submitted in six current detention centers.
“From 181, around 61 detenues have been declared a foreign national and 120 detenues have been punished by the court and after the punishment period, they are currently nesting in the detention centers waiting for deportation,” said the minister’s chief.
The house was told that there were nine people punished by ‘strangers’ along with 22 children who are now in three detention centers in Kokrajhar, Silchar and Tezpur.
Of the 22 teenagers, two above 14 years and 20 children under 14 years.
Sarma told that 273 foreign countries declared released in accordance with the order on May 10, 2019 was passed by the Supreme Court at the completion of the three years of detention.
The other 481 expressed as a foreigner was released in accordance with two separate commands from the APEX court and the Gautati High Court on April 13, 2020 and April 15, 2020 when Detenues completed two years of detention.
Since its inception, 2.98,471 the FT case has been discarded by the court, while 1,36,173 cases are delayed in FTS on April 30, 2021.
A total of 1,18,616 people are declared Indian citizens in time and 1, 39,900 are expressed as foreigners by FTS on On April 30, 2021.
Sarma replied that 321 foreigners had been sent back and 181 were in detention centers.
The problem of ‘doubtful voters’ or voters (people who do not get voting rights), also attract the attention of the house.
In another reply for AIUDF legislators, Rafiqul Islam, Sarma told that between 1997-98 to 30 April 2021, a total of 1.36,386 voter cases were removed through FTS, while 90,810 cases had not been resolved.
