Prayagraj: More than 1 crore pilgrims and worshipers took holy saud in Sangam in the midst of strict security on the occasion of Mauni Amagrany here on Tuesday.
The arrival of worshipers and unexpected pilgrims had left the police authority Mela confused.
They had to divert the worshiper’s route to the Mela campus through Kali Sakak to Jhunsi Ghats through Pontoon Bridge.
This was done on Tuesday morning when there was no room left in Sangam Noze for worshipers.
As soon as the police managed to clean Ghats in Sangam Noze, the police Mela again transferred the crowd of worshipers towards Sangam Noze.
Pilgrims and worshipers continue to overthrow the Mela campus from other districts such as Gonda, Pratapgarh, Sitapur, Reeva, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Mirzapur, Sarasaram and Satna.

Meanwhile, Mela police and Shivir Bhoule Bhatke claimed to have reunited more than 1,730 people including 26 children, who were somehow separated from their family members.
Volunteer Shri Satya Sai Sama Samiti (Jhunsi) distributes tea, snacks and ‘khichdi’ among worshipers.
Sai worshipers began the distribution of tea and snacks from WEE Tuesday in the code dressed right wearing a scarf and putting the mask on their faces.
