Panaji: A little more than one individual lakh in Goa, which qualifies for Covid-19 vaccine, has not taken their first dose, said Minister of Pramod Sawant said on Thursday.
Sawant said that he had asked the health service directorate to verify whether individuals were in the state and the reason they did not take Jab.
Sawant said that some individuals who remain not vaccinated may be in other states or may be ridden.
“We have said that the first dose will be completed in the last week of July.
One Lakh-strange person has not been vaccinated.
I have been looking for details,” Sawant said.
The Directorate of Health Services estimates that the estimated state population of 15.4 lakh, there are around 6.5 individuals in the age group of 18-44 years, and 5.5 lakh people in 45 years and above the bracket.
Sawant has made him an ambitious target to make the country first invest everyone in July-end, but failed to meet the target.
The minister’s chairman said that the government relied on the official voter list to maintain their vaccinated count and those who had not stepped forward to take Jab.
“We will go through a voting list, but now we have to verify whether those who have not taken vaccines are in Goa.

There are some voters who no longer live in Goa, some are physically disabled,” Sawant said.
