More than 100 hotspot villages in Pune District

Pune: More than 100 villages in Pune Rustic continue to be a Covid-19 hotspot for the past three weeks, with Pune Zilla Parishad conducting mass testing.
However, of 1,200 strange active cases in these villages, only 100 patients need to be treated at Covid care centers while the majority of them did not show symptoms and in house isolation.

At present, there are 109 hotspot villages in 13 tehsils in the district.
ZP officials said violations of social distance norms could be the main contribution factor.

“We are doing around 70,000 tests in a week – the highest in any district in the state.

The number of Hotspot Covid-19 villages in the Pune countryside was established in 186 in the first week of June.
