Kolkata: More than 100 visual disabled people who have not been vaccinated with the first dose of the Covid vaccine at the Hospital Maniktala ESI on Tuesday.
This list also includes some who receive their second vaccine.
The initiative was taken by an ESI Hospital in connection with Calcutta’s eye hospital and the community for blind well-being after arriving at their notification that a number of higher risks contracted Covid-19 infection – was abandoned from vaccination campaigns due to the absence of basic information in the format which can be accessed about when and how it is done.
“Pandemics have been rough in all parts of society, but the blind has visually influenced mostly because it is not easy for them to take advantage of vaccination, after the safety protocol in place”, the word bissyjit ghosh, secretary, society for the welfare of blind people.
Hundreds of blind people from cross-district participated in special inoculation drives.
“We have vaccassed a large number of people every day.
It is our privilege to be able to set up a special vaccination drive for blind, Dr.
Mayukh Ray, medical supervisor, ESI Hospital.
Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Chief Executive Officer, Calcutta Eye Hospital said:” us Being honored to offer assistance to blind for blind.
We intend to take many initiatives that are socially conscious in the future.
