Bhubaneswar: Head of Odisha Minister Naveen Patnaik said more than 1,000 government schools in the state would be changed with modern facilities such as smart classrooms, e-library reading spaces, modern science laboratories, safe drinking water and sports infrastructure.
Patnik said in the first phase of 1,070 schools will be changed with modern facilities and called steps as a base for progressive Odisha,

Patnaik dedicated 10 government schools that transformed into the state that had all modern facilities such as smart classrooms, e-library reading rooms, modern science laboratories, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructure.
He inaugurated 10 schools that were transformed like that in his own Hinjili constituency in the Ganjam district on Saturday.
As many as 50 such schools have been fully transformed with all facilities that are not even available in private schools in the state capital.
While Patnik inaugurated schools from Bhubaneswar through virtual fashion, ministers, MLA and other officials present in schools along with students, parents and locals.
Projects are carried out under 5T state government (technology, teamwork, time, transparency that leads to transformation).
