There are no children among the visitors,” said Executive Officer of the Praanna Dash Temple.
After reduced the first wave of Covid, the Lingaraj temple was reopened in January for the first time, but only for residents of Bhubaneswar.
At that time, they were asked to produce live evidence such as Aadhaar or voter ID cards.
They also have to undergo a covid test.
From January 6 and so on, BMC has allowed all people, regardless of residence, to enter the temple.
However, after four months, it must be closed again in the middle of the second wave of raging.
“Other places such as mosques, the Church and Gurdwaras are also reopened for worshipers.
Separate guidelines issued by the government also made it mandatory for religious institutions other than the temple to request a final vaccination certificate from worshipers,” said Deputy Commissioner Anshuman Rath.
The number of visitors in the mall also rose with the government raised the condition of producing a final vaccination certificate before entering from September 1.
“Usually the mall we saw around 12,000 visitors a day, but on the first day reopened (without any condition) in the second wave, it saw a strong 5,000 crowd.
Because more people vaccinated this time, there was less fear between them,” said Ratnamala Swain, Director, DN Regalia Mall, said.
