New Delhi: A total of 10,134 coronavirus vaccine doses are given in Delhi on Sunday, taking a cumulative number to more than 96 lakh, according to the Cowin portal.
The vaccine was given only in one government center and 76 private centers as the first remained closed on Sundays.
The city gave 69,893 doses on Saturday, 21,253 of them were the first dose while 48,640 was the second dose.
The vaccination bulletin issued by the Delhi government on Sunday said the city had 70,900 covishield doses along with 2,16,140 Covaxin shots.
The government has said that only 20 percent of Covaxin shares can be used for the first dose, because the reserves are limited and the delivery cycle is irregular.
In addition, because of the limited Covishield shares, the government has directed its shares only to be used for the second dose until July 31 in all the centers.
Bulletin said that many in the age group 18-44 will be eligible for the second dose in the coming weeks.
The city has provided more than 96 lakh doses, including 23,84,076 second dose.
