New Delhi: The center on Thursday said that more than 12.72 crore balance and the dosage of non-diatail covid vaccines were still available with the countries and the union of the union to be given.
As per official statement from the Ministry of Health and family welfare, as many as 12,72,19.63 balance and doses of covid vaccines that are not used are still available with the state / UTS to be provided.
The ministry further said that more than 158.96 crore (1,58,96,34,485) the dose of vaccine has been given to the state and UTS so far through the Government of India (free of charge) and through the category of direct state procurement.
In particular, the Indian Covid-19 vaccination drive began on January 16, 2021, finished one year on Sunday.
“Vaccination boost has increased through the availability of more vaccines, advanced visibility of vaccine availability to the state and UTS to enable better planning by them and streamline the vaccine supply chain,” said service.
In the new phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive it began on June 21, 2021, the Union Government will buy and supply (free of charge) 75 percent of the vaccine produced by vaccine producers in the country and UTS.
Meanwhile, Indian cumulative vaccination coverage has exceeded 159.67 crore doses with administration of more than 73 doses of the lakh vaccine in the last 24 hours, in accordance with the UNI Ministry of Health Thursday.
