Kolkata: The percentage of higher people in Kolkata has taken Covaxin compared to those in Bengal.
In Kolkata, 11.4 lakh people from 79.1 lakh, who received their vaccine shots, had taken Covaxin.
In Bengal, 87.8 people left out of eight crore people who took Jab they chose to covaxin.
Compared to 14.5% of people, who chose Covaxin in Kolkata, 10.9% had taken Covaxin in Bengal.
Throughout India, 11.2% of the 107.8 crore people who took the covid vaccine they had chosen for Covaxin.
The Cowin Dashboard which captures real-time vaccine data in India shows this trend.
On Friday, Bengal has around 14 doses of lakh covaxin.
11 Other Doses of Lakh Vaccines are expected to arrive.
At present the available stock is used to manage recipients with both doses will be due.
“After we accept the next consignment of 11 doses of lakh, we will begin to give it to the first dose recipient,” said Ashim Das Malang, the country’s family welfare official.
Health officials say who agreed to a vaccine for an emergency use list will increase his request.
Many people prefer to take this vaccine because of the 28-day short gap between two doses compared to 12 to 16 weeks for covishield.
Among the first vaccines who underwent clinical trials in Kolkata’s Niced, the price of Covaxin was originally pegged with a higher level than the covishield in the previous vaccine regime where the government and private hospitals had to get their vaccines.
However, this did not have an old impact when the center revised its vaccine procurement mandate, providing a vaccine to declare for free.
Price difference, however, remains for private hospitals.
The Homegrown vaccine faced a little doubt at first because it was introduced to the inoculation drive in the ‘clinical trial mode’.
Then with evidence of its efficacy that emerged more recipients who began to receive it.
“Even when the demand for the covaxin dose began to increase, supply became a problem because of the production of lower bottles.
We must stop or limit the number of doses offered to the recipient on certain days for the waves for the supply crisis,” said a senior health department official.
Covaxin supply problems regarding Bengal in July last week.
It also encourages Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) to temporarily close the vaccine clinic which manages Covaxin.
Three studies were conducted at Kolkata Hospital in the comparative effectiveness of two vaccines – Covishield and Covaxin.
Studies conducted at Peerless Hospital, Bangur Hospital and CMRI all did not find significant differences in the case of Covid-19 and inhospital mortels.
In other words, this study has found both vaccines equally effective in reducing mortality and disease development.
