Guwahati: The situation of flooding in Assam changed gloomy on Saturday which affected 2,25,501 people after the swollen Brahmaputra and his children flooded a large land plot in 15 countries.
Four districts are more affected by the dam releasing water due to rain continuously in reach.
About 1.33 lakh is homeless or preserved in 11 districts on Friday.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the State Disaster Management Agency Assam (ASDMA) of districts that are influenced by the current flood waves caused by rain of unrelenting in the catchment area, Barpeta, Bongaiga, Bongaiga, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Golaghat .
, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigon, Sivasagar, Sonitpur and Tinsukia.
The Chief Executive of Asdma, Gyanendra Tripathi, said that even though the new district had been flooded in the last 24 hours, the situation on Saturday was ‘controlled’.
He said Brahmaputra waters rose due to relentless rain in Arunachal Pradesh.
However, he said no major embankment was violated.
“Damage of the embankment has been reported from Bongaigaon,” he said.
However, there have been losing human life or animals reported so far, said the bulletin.
Overall 512 villages under 34 income circles have been affected so far by flooding.
The rivers in the country maintain increased trends in most districts affected and also flowed above the danger in several places, an official said.
The highest number of 91,437 people had been influenced in Lakhimpur, followed by 47,752 in Majuli and 31,839 in Dhemaji.
A total of 6898 people have escaped from their homes and have been sheltered in 62 aid camps founded by Bongaigaon District Administration, Chiran, Dhemuji and Majuli while the centers are ready to be in Beruga, Dibrugarh and Jorhat for affected people.
Meanwhile, 20 people and 40 animals were safely evacuated by the ship on Saturday and six medical teams had been deployed so far, added the bulletin.
As many as 1,33,907 animals, including 82,455 large, 29528 small and 21924 poultry have been influenced by the current flood waves.
