Chandigarh: Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has identified around 2,443 street vendors listed as permanent absent and gives them the last chance to pay their fees on July 26, failed to be canceled and their names will be removed from the list of registered sellers.
These vendors have not paid their monthly fees to MC since 2017, Registration Vending Street Years began in the city.
Vendors register in the payment of Rs 200 registration fees and one month payment in 2017.
After that, they did not pay anything in the last time for three years, because the MC included them in the permanent default list.
There are around 3,000 more absent but they have not been included in the list of permanent defamy because they did not make payments over the past few months due to a pandemic.
They will be given time to make their payments without notice, but since 2,443 vendors mentioned above do not pay after registration in 2017, they will not be given further opportunities after July 26 and their license will be canceled permanently.
“The decision about permanent absent milk has been taken after through all their records, data and sincerity of payment to MC.
Surprisingly that they did not make payments to the MC for the last three years, which showed their attitude to become a registered street vendor and thus we gave them The last chance.
If many of these vendors fail to deposit their payments, their ID and the payer payer will be closed permanently, “said a senior official.
According to records, there are currently around 10,912 registered street vendors, including around 3,513 come from the important service provider (ESP), while around 6,259 comes from non-essential service providers (non-ESP) and the remaining 1,140 is a registered cellphone vendor.
Previously, the number was more than 9,000, but since the MC recently registered more vendors who did not have Adhaar Chandigarh cards, the number of registered street vendors had reached around 10,912.
