Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala for the fourth day that runs more than 20,000 new cases in the state with the test level of test (TPR) rose to 13.61 percent and 116 more surrender to Covid-19.
With 20,772 new cases, Kaseeload infection in the state reached 33,70,137 and 116 deaths pushed the total victims to 16,701, said the release of the state government.
A total of 14,651 people have recovered from infection, taking total recovery to 31.92.104 and the number of active cases in the state to 1,60,824.
In the last 24 hours, 1,52,639 tested samples and TPR were found 13.61 percent.
So far, 2,70.49,431 samples have been tested, he said.
Some of the worst affected districts in the state are Malappuram (3670), Kozhikode (2470), Ernakulam (2306), Thrissur (2287), Palakkad (2070), Kollam (1415), Kannur (1123), Thiruvananthapuram (1082) and Kottayam (1030).
From new cases, 81 was a health worker, 137 came from outside the country and 19,622 was infected through contact with the contact source unclear in 932 cases, the word release.
At present there are 4,56,951 people under supervision in various country districts.
Of these, 4,29,118 was in the quarantine of a house or institutional and 27,833 in the hospital.
There were 678 areas in the state with TPR above 10 percent, the release said.
