New Delhi: 22,265 people, including 7,010 health care workers, received “the prudential dosage” of the Covid-19 vaccine in the national capital on Tuesday, according to government data.
A total of 6,083 people over 60 and 9,172 frontline workers also received their third dose.
On Monday, 18,795 people over 60, frontline workers and health workers have taken their third dose.
People aged 60 years or more, health care workers and front lines that took the second dose of the nine months of vaccine were eligible for the third dose from Monday.
The beneficiaries will receive the same dose of prudential vaccines that they took 39 weeks ago.
They must order slots using the existing Cowin account.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been on December 24, announced a preventive shot for vulnerable populations and those who were at a higher risk of contracted Covid-19.
On January 3, the center has launched vaccination for teenagers aged 15-17.
In Delhi, around three lakh recipients in this segment have received their first dose so far.
On Tuesday, 49,263 beneficiaries in this age group received their first dose.
According to government data, more than 2.79 crore doses have been given in the city since inoculation training began on January 16 last year.
As many as 1.17 crores, people have received both doses.
