Kanpur: More than two dozen candidates submit their nomination papers before their respective officials returned on Monday.
There are ten legislative assembly constituencies in Kanpur Nagar.
Congress Candidate Five – Ashok Kumar Nishad, Karishma Thakur, Raj Narayan and Ajay Kapoor submitted their nomination on Monday.
Ajay Kapoor has submitted a set of paper on Saturday.
Most candidates who submit their nomination are party candidates while three are independent.
Three candidates who have submitted independent candidates for the Maharajpur seat are Praveen Kumar, Surendra Kumar and Vijay Kumar.
Another candidate for the Maharajpur seat is Surendra Pal Singh (BSP) and Awadhesh Kumar Gupta (Bhartiya Shakti Chetna).
Those who submitted a paper for the Ghatampur seat was Saroj (Apna Dal-Sonelal), Raj Narain (Indian National Congress), Karan Singh (Mukti Mukti Party), Vipin Kumar (Arjan Adhikar Dal) and Munni Lal (Chetna Bhartiya Shakti Party).
Who submitted a paper for the Cantonment chair was Mohd Saifi (BSP), Sohail Ansari (Indian National Congress), Raghu Nandan Singh Bhadauria (BJP), Rashid Jamal (Aam Aadmi Party) and Mohd Hasan (SP) Pawan Kumar (Shiv Sena), Abhimanyu (SP), Ajay Kapoor (Congress) and Vivek Dwivedi (AAM AADMI Party) has submitted a nomination for Kidwai Nagar Seat.
Thakur (Congress) and Ashok Kumar Kumar (BSP) for Govind Nagar Seat, Usha Rani (Congress), Satayendra (Congress), Satayendra (Congress), Satayendra (Congress), Satayendra (Congress AAM AADMI) and Rachana Singh (SP) for Bilhaur’s seat while Anuj Kumar Shukla (AAM AADMI party), Raju Verma (Mukti’s rainy party), and Pawan Tiwari (Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha) for the chair of Arya Nagar.
