More than 25 people from the valley are potential spy targets: Reports

New Delhi: Several Kashmir journalists based in Delhi and more than 25 people from the Kashmir Valley were chosen as a potential target for supervision between 2017 and mid-2019 by unknown government institutions which were also believed to be clients from the NSO group of Israeli companies, wire reported on the day Friday.
The list of leaks that have been analyzed by media partners from the Pegasus project consortium that reported this problem included the number of main separatist leaders, politicians, human rights activists, journalists, and journalists from Kashmir, said the report.
Wire said it was able to do forensic analysis on cellphones from two – separatist leaders alone and deceased S.A.R.
Geelani, who worked as a lecturer at Delhi University and died in 2018.
Lone telephone data was examined by the Amnesty International Security Laboratory and although this phone set was not the same as what he used when the phone has the potential to be targeted according to the leaky database, forensic analysis reveals the sign Pegasus targeting sign, the report said.
Signs appear in 2019, and the possibility of the results of a process initiated by the NSO client based in India, he said.
Geelani shows clear signs of Pegasus spyware activity between February 2018 and January 2019, wire said, quoting forensic analysis.
The Israeli Group of NSO confirms the leaky database accessed by French non-profit media organizations, forbidden stories have nothing to do with it or pegasus software used by “vetted government”.
The wire says that other people about the leaky database include at least two members of the Democratic Party (PDP) and former Mehbooba Mufti J & K family.
Their choice as a prospective surveillance target occurred when the Mufti was still the main minister of the State of Istama and in the coalition with BJP, the wire said.
The family member of the Mufti was chosen for the potential for supervision only a few months before the government collapsed when BJP withdrew from the coalition in June 2018, he said.
Party President J & K APNI Altaf Bukhari’s Brother Tariq Bukhari is also on a list that also has at least four members of the Kashmir separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, said the wire.
The leak also shows that the head of the Hurriyat Conference of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is a potential target of supervision between 2017 and 2019, according to the report.
Meanwhile, more than 200 citizens concerned support the demand to end what they call “repressive supervision” and relations with “apartheid Israel”.
“While we asked the Indian government to be clean about the findings of this investigation, we must work towards a wider global alliance that challenges government supervision and collusion to get access to technology built to violate human rights, such as in the case of Israel,” said a statement which has been signed by a member of a cultural community such as Naseruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Nayantara Sahgal, Mallika Sarabhai, TM Krishna and Anand Patwardhan, among others.
Members of the Academic Community such as Nivedita Menon, Kumkum Roy, Gyan Prakash and Apoorvanand and Activists Henri Tiphagne, Harsh Mander and Fr.
FRAZER Mascarenhas also among the signatory statements brought under the AEGIS Indian cultural forum.
French-based journalism, forbidden stories, and Amnesty International International Human Rights Advocacy group access a large list of 50,000 numbers believed to have been selected as the potential target of supervision by 10 countries.
The record is then distributed with a group of 16 media houses around the world – a wire-effective – which works collaboratively to investigate the scope of this intended or actual supervision for several months in the initiative referred to as the Pegasus project.
On Sunday, an international media consortium reported that more than 300 cell phone numbers were verified, including two ministers, more than 40 journalists, three opposition leaders and one seat sitting in addition to a number of business people and activists in India could be targeted to hack through spyware.
The government has denied all accusations of opposition in this matter.
