Chennai: More than 27 Doses of Lakh have been distributed throughout the state for a 12-hour mega vaccination trip from 7am on Sunday at 40,000 government centers aimed at vaccinating at least 20 Lakh, Minister of Health MA Subramanian said on Saturday.
“This month we have vaccinated drives almost every day without interruption because of the weekend, national holidays or inadequate vaccines.
The state has received a sufficient dose of vaccine from the center,” he told reporters after examining the primary health center of Perumbakkam.
On Saturday, the state was vaccinated 1.5 lakh people.
“We urge everyone to take a vaccine on time because this is one of the best tools to prevent disease and death,” he added.
Those who took the vaccine on Saturday must bring the identity of the central government recognized to the center.
Those who suffer from fever and flu symptoms will not be allowed to attend the camp.
So far, at least 46 of adults who qualify in the state have taken at least one dose of vaccines, while 12% of them have completed the course.
However, the coverage is not uniform in all districts.
Although Chennai has given more than 43 doses of lakh – the maximum number of doses among all districts, the city is only vaccinated a little more than half of the population which qualifies with the first dose, compared to nilgiris, which has been vaccinated by more than 71%.
from adults.
“We have priority to the district because it is a difficult terrain and has many tourists,” said DH Dr.
