New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said more than 4.5 new households received a pipe water connection under the Jal Jeevan mission in the past two years.
This scheme aims to provide a tap water connection to all rustic households in 2024.
“More than 45 New Crown Households have received a pipeline supply within two years of Jeevan Jal’s mission,” Modi said in his independence day speech from the historic red fort .
The ambitious scheme was announced by Modi during his independence day speech in 2019.
