New Delhi: More than 4.51 crore tax return tax for 2020-21 submitted until December 26, the I-T department said on Monday.
These include more than 2.44 Crore ITR-1 and more than 1.12 Crore ITR-4.
ITR Form 1 (Sahaj) and ITR Form 4 (SUGAM) are a simpler form that meets a large amount of small and medium taxpayers.
Sahhaj can be submitted by individuals who have income up to RS 50 lakh and who receive income from salary, home property / other sources (flowers etc.).
ITR-4 can be submitted by individuals, Hindu families that are not divided (HUFS) and companies with total revenue of up to 50 lakh Rs and have income from business and professions.
The expanded deadline for submitting ITRs by individual taxpayers is December 31, 2021.
The original deadline is July 31, 2021.

For the fiscal year 2019-20, 5.95 ITRS crore was filed until the deadline was extended January 10, 2021.
