Lucknow: During the ongoing enforcement to curb, sales, and distribution of illegal liquor remember the election of assembly, the Excise Ministry has confiscated 4,248 liters of liquor, capturing 85 people and submitting 191 firs, said Secretary, Excise, Sanjay Bhoosreddy.
Two vehicles were also confiscated during the trip.
COMMISSISE SENHIL SENHIL C PANDIAN said the combined team of excise and police officials restored 267 bottles of liquor from one Santosh Kumar in Hathras on 11 and 12 January.
Liquor was intended for sale in Delhi and Haryana.
A combined team restored 15 drums containing 3,040 liters of spirits, 161 forbidden liquor brands containing 7,245 quarters, 2,000 half a half bottle of PET McDowell No.
1 in a chest other than other ingredients to produce liquor from Unnao.
Forbidden liquor factories were identified, and two people were ordered.
In the third incident, 68,400 bottle caps were restored from Farukkhabad, and the Excise Ministry identified those involved in the manufacture of illegal liquor.
