More than 46,000 Assam schools will be evaluated in two phases next year

Guwahati: The Assam government will conduct a massive exercise, ‘Gunotsav’, to evaluate more than 46,000 schools covering more than 42 lakh students in two phases next year.
The meeting here on Sunday led by Minister of Himanta Buswa Sarma discussed a detailed framework for this exercise, the official statement said.

It is intentional to parameters for scholastic evaluation which will be carried out based on the initiative to be carried out in two phases.
The first phase will be held from April 5-7 and the second phase of April 20-22, he said.

The proposed exercise will cover 46,251 schools, provinces and schools managed by tea parks that cover 42.51,524 students.
‘Gunotsav’ is the framework of accountability to improve the quality of basic education which includes children’s learning outcomes along with co-scholastic activities and the use of resources, including community participation.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Chief, who is also the Srimanta Sankardeva Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, attended the fifth general council meeting here on Sunday and discussed the University’s academic and administrative initiatives, other official release words.
The General Council takes several main decisions that aim to improve the academic environment and bring a strong administrative mechanism.
It also discusses the suggestions made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the development of the Medical Curriculum in Vernacular and entrusting Chancellor, Dr.
Dhrubajyoti Bora, to take the necessary initiatives.
The minister’s chairman stressed the need for a permanent university campus to streamline his functions.
He also asked the University to focus on research that can be translated from the ‘Laboratory to Field’ to benefit ordinary people.
