New Delhi: More than 50 Lakh health services, frontline workers and 60-year-old citizens have been given a dose of prevention of Covid-19 vaccine since January 10, Minister of Health Union Mankaviya said on Tuesday.
With the administration of the vaccine dose of almost 80 lakh in the 24-hour range, the cumulative vaccine dose of Covid-19 given in this country has exceeded 158.04 crore according to the temporary report until 7 in the morning.
“Another day, another milestone is more than 50 lakh health & frontline services and 60-year-old citizens or more have received a preventive dose, since January 10.
I asked everyone who qualified to get their earliest prevention dose,” Mandaviya tweeted .
India began to provide a dose of prevention of Covid-19 vaccine for health workers, frontline workers including personnel were deployed for electoral assignments and those aged 60 years and over with comorbidity from January 10 in the middle of the country who witnessed the surge in Coronavirus infection which was driven by the virus virus.

Vaccination for frontline workers (FLW) starts from February 2.
The next phase of Covid-19 vaccination starts from March 1 for people over the age of 60 and those aged 45 years and over with the condition of the specified co-morbid.
The state launched vaccination for all people over 45 years from April 1, 2021.
The government then decided to expand the vaccination drive by allowing everyone above 18 to vaccinate from 1.
The next phase of Covid-19 vaccination has been started from January 3 this year for Teenagers in the age group 15-18 years.
