According to the CID figure (crime), the state has witnessed a surprising trend for at least five years where most children missing up to 14 years old, have not been found.
Even in Covid in 2020 and 2021, children disappeared and half of them could not be traced.
The numbers show that 255 boys and 407 girls were lost until September 2021, but only 113 boys and 193 girls were found by the police.
So, 306 out of a total of 662 children, who were reported missing, were not found by the police.
In 2020, a total of 868 included 305 boys and 563 girls were lost.
From them only 410 included 140 boys and 270 girls found.
So, 458 children including 165 boys and 293 girls cannot be traced by the police.
The same numbers can be seen in 2019, 2018 and 2017 but 2020 and 2021 witnessed the situation such as the next locking pandemic, night hours and the excess spread of the police to prevent public movements.
Anil Pratham Adgp Cid Crime, Cell Child and Women, said, “Our department data revealed that around 92% -93% of children were missing back.
I have to check the data published.”
