Ranchi: More than 50% of the qualified population has received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 13 districts have become Covid free.
In addition, the country has reached another milestone because the number of active cases has dropped below 100 signs for the first time in 16 months.
On Friday, Dumka, Garhwa, Girls, Godda, Gumla, Hazaribag, Koderma, Pakuu, Palamu, Simdega, Ramgarh, Simdega and West Singhbhum have no active cases.
Because fewer new infections and more recovery are reported every day, there has been a regular decline in active Kaseload, which drops to 98 on Friday.
The last active case was below the 100-mark on May 18, 2020 when the first wave gradually took and on May 19, it was 112.
Ranchi continued to bear the maximum burden, almost two-thirds of active cases in the state.
In terms of vaccination, 1,23,77,640 people have received the first dose, from 2.47.41.41,319 a qualified population, according to the State Health Department, on Friday.
As many as 33,93,670 people, in accordance with 13.7% of the population, have become fully vaccinated.
Additional Secretary (Health) Arun Kumar Singh said that even though the situation was encouraging, it was too early to declare victory.
“We cannot be complacent and must continue to take precautions so that there are no fresh infection outbreaks and vaccination processes must continue with a steady step,” he added.
The Head of the State Unit from the Integrated Disease Supervision Program, Dr.
Preveen Kumar Kumar Kumar, said that it would be early to say that the worst was over.
“People still need to follow the appropriate behavior of Covid,” he said.
