New Delhi: The central government on Friday said that more than 51.16.46.46.830 vaccine doses have been given to the countries and the United States so far through all sources.
The government said 20.49,220 more doses were in the pipe.
The government also said that the vaccine dose provided so far, 2,30.03.211 balance and dosage that is not used is still available with America, UTS and private hospitals to be provided.
“The Union Government is committed to accelerating speed and expanding the scope of Covid-19 vaccination throughout the country,” a statement, released by the Ministry of Work and health welfare on Friday morning, said.
The government’s release also stated 49.19.73,961 the covid vaccine dose was consumed so far.
The government said the vaccination drive, which began on June 21 this year, has increased through the availability of more vaccines, advanced visibility availability of vaccines into the state and UTS to allow better planning by them and streamline the supply chain of vaccines.
The United States government said that as part of a national vaccination drive, it has supported the state and UTS by giving them free vaccine doses.
“In the new phase of the universalization of the Covid-19 vaccination drive, the union government will procure and supply (free of charge) 75 percent of the vaccine produced by vaccine producers in the country and UTS,” it was added.
