Lucknow: It became amazing because it was heard, on a big way after the implementation of the Code of Behavior Model (MCC), the Indian election commission cleared more than 58,000 walls covered with political graffiti at Uttar Pradesh to carry out a fair selection.
According to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ajay Kumar Shukla, 38,891 wall writings from government properties were cleared, while at least one third (ie 19,615) from the wall of personal properties cleaned by the ECI implementation of MCC.
He said, “More than 9.60 lakh material publicity is collected from government and private property throughout the state to ensure MCC is carried out throughout the country.” Of the total publicity material collected which includes wall writings, posters, banners, and other materials, 7.32 lakh removed from the properties of the government, while 2.28 lakh removed from personal traits.
ECI stated that from government property, 3.42 lakh poster, 2.30 lakh banners and 1.19 other types of publicity material were deleted.
Similarly, from private property 1.14 lakh poster, 58,769 banners and 35,224 other publicity materials were deleted.
The CEO said, “To ensure peaceful polls in the election of the 18th legislative assembly, 10,007 weapons licenses are kept by the police, nine weapons licenses were confiscated and four weapons licenses were canceled”.
Likewise, while taking preventive actions under IPC and CRPC, 28,474 people were arrested and guaranteed that the unscrupulous ones were presented against 335 people.
Shukla added, “The Excise Ministry team has confiscated 6,588 liters of liquor worth more than Rs 15.58 lakh throughout the state”.
However, the addition of additional excise secretary in the press record claimed that considering the upcoming polls in just 15 days between December 22, 2021 to January 5, 2022, the department carried out a raid on the sale of Liquor Illise and excise cottage 3,344 and IPC.
The department won 1.29 latric liter of forbidden liquor and recovered 2.84 kg of material used in the manufacture of liquor.
A total of 1,151 people involved in manufacturing and selling illegal liquor were arrested and 29 vehicles were confiscated.
