Nagpur: Nagpur bench from the Bombay High Court has more than 61,000 injuries until July 20, according to the reply to the query under RTI acting by his government.
From them, the majority of 51,901 were civilized while 9,501 was a criminal case, both of them waited for years.
RTI’s replies submitted by the Deputy Registrar Administration HC Dhyaneshwar added that in the year 1.2020 to July 20, 2021, around 11,242 cases were submitted in Bench Nagpur and 6,546 were discarded.
According to a senior official from the HC registry, 61,000 cases also include a number of civil and criminal applications submitted in the same petition, but the actual continibility is less if it is considered a single case.
Like in Covid pills, more than 20 applications are submitted by various interventions, but ideally should be taken as a delayed case, the official said.
Because of the pandemic and a series of locking, new case archiving is very affected.
Even hearing was affected, because the court only allowed urgent things to avoid crowding in the building.
Online hearing made more complicated problems, because many can’t use the system at first last year, in accordance with lawyers.
The answer was submitted in response to the request asked by Veteran activist RTI Abhay Kolarkar but did not mention the number of courtrants closed and on how many days it worked in virtual mode.
In another reply regarding the number of cases waiting until November 11 years before the second wave, registrants, also public information officers, added that 61,753 cases were waiting at that time.
From them, 50,370 was civil and 11,383 criminals.
From them, there were 52,869 cases delayed for more than a year, 21,214 more than five years and 9,158 more than ten years.
