Bhubaneswar: The opinion of parents in exam mode, which is sought after by the school authority, has revealed that more than 70% of city students from class I to IX want to take their last test online.
Some schools from opposite the city issued a notification to parents, looking for their approval for offline exams.
If parents choose the online exam, they must quote reasons for their decision.
“We accept parents’ opinions for online, offline or hybrid checks.
We are surprised to see that some students and parents choose online mode.
Maybe, over the past two years, they have become a comfortable class to attend and appear for online exams from home.
Offline classes also have a thin presence compared to government schools, “said Nilakantha Panigrahy, Principal of Sai International.
School authorities say most children become comfortable with online classes and parents give up on the pressure of children.
Many parents are waiting for their children to be vaccinated, while some plans to send their children to schools in a new academic session, said a teacher.
“When the school is closed, parents first say that physical classes are needed for students.
But now when the physical class has been continued, they are not ready to send their wards to school.
Online class will never be a replacement for physical class,” said the principal here.
People believe that despite the order of repairs mentioned from the mixed learning model (online, offline or hybrid), the schools really want students to attend offline class students.
“Children need time to adjust to offline or physical classes because they will return to school after a two-year gap.
They should not feel stressed when it appears for the exam in offline mode at school.
If they can manage two years in online mode, Why not start offline mode from the next academic session? “Ask Sumitra Biswas, parents.
