New Delhi: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday said more than 800 central laws had applied to Jammu and Kashmir after obtaining the status of the United States.
Speaking after the inauguration of the semi-virtual regional conference on “replication of good governance practice” in Srinagar, was attended by 750 officers from 10 states, he said the MOD government was committed to transparency and “justice for all”.
“Friendly reforms of people taken in the past seven years have benefited all countries including the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,” said Minister of State, said.
He quoted several governance initiatives conducted by the government of Jammu and Kashmir, including a long-delayed cadre review, the establishment of a cat bench, the expansion of RTI laws and conducting joint feasibility tests through a national recruitment body in each headquarters in UT.
Singh said the construction of a capacity of 2,000 civil servants in collaboration between the Center for National Governance (NCGG) and the Jammu Institute of Management and Kashmir Management of Public and Rural Administration (Impard) will be carried out, said the Ministry of Personnel statement.
He said the purpose of the regional conference organized by the Department of Administrative Reform and Public Complaints (DARPG) was to familiarize officers with the practice of the best governance.
Singh said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India adopted the paradigm of the “Maximum Government Minimum Government” quoted and praised throughout the world with civil servants from all over the world visited India to pursue an internship.
“This regional conference came one week after meeting all parties chaired by the prime minister with the aim of promoting grassracial democracy and giving a boost for development has a significant significance with the adoption of conference resolution titled ‘behaltarnizam e-law’ who will try to make sure justice for everyone And the area of Jammu and Kashmir, “he said.
Singh announced the development of a good governance index at the district level on the lines of good national governance index, the development of a capacity of 2,000 civil servants in collaboration between NCGG and Impard and the National Conference to be carried out on Governance at Jammu & Kashmir that year.
He also released E-Magazine Darpg entitled ‘Government Minimum, Maximum Governance (MGMG), which consisted of writing administrative innovation during the prime session.
The minister also witnessed the exchange of a MoU between NCGG and Impard for the development of a capacity of 2,000 civil servants, the statement said.
Regional conferences are also handled by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir; Sanjay Singh, Secretary Darpg; Arun Kumar Mehta, Head of Secretary of J-K and V Srinivas, an additional Secretary of Darpg, he said.
