New Delhi: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday said more than 800 central laws had applied to Jammu and Kashmir after obtaining the status of the United States.

He said the purpose of the regional conference organized by the Department of Administrative Reform and Public Complaints (DARPG) was to familiarize officers with the practice of the best governance.
Singh said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India adopted the paradigm of the “Maximum Government Minimum Government” quoted and praised throughout the world with civil servants from all over the world visited India to pursue an internship.

Singh announced the development of a good governance index at the district level on the lines of good national governance index, the development of a capacity of 2,000 civil servants in collaboration between NCGG and Impard and the National Conference to be carried out on Governance at Jammu & Kashmir that year.
He also released E-Magazine Darpg entitled ‘Government Minimum, Maximum Governance (MGMG), which consisted of writing administrative innovation during the prime session.
The minister also witnessed the exchange of a MoU between NCGG and Impard for the development of a capacity of 2,000 civil servants, the statement said.
Regional conferences are also handled by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir; Sanjay Singh, Secretary Darpg; Arun Kumar Mehta, Head of Secretary of J-K and V Srinivas, an additional Secretary of Darpg, he said.
