More than 92% of rain are accepted in October 19: Minister of Revenue Kerala K Rajan

Thiruvananthapuram: A total of 92.24% of rainfall which is usually accepted during the rainy season ‘Thulam’ (from October to December) has been accepted in the first 19 days of October, said Revenue Minister K Rajan.
Rains as much as 491.6mm (16.8%) of total rain received normally in a year, received during the thulam season.
From October 1, October 19, the state received 453.5mm rain, as expected in 192.7mm.
Except alarpuzha, all other districts in the state receive more than 75% of the expected rain.
Kozhikode with 215% received the highest rainfall.
From 1 to 19 October, the highest rainfall was received on October 17 (80.8mm) and October 12 (78.7mm).
Damn orange was issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur on October 20 and in all districts except Kannur and Kasaragod on October 21 to 23.
It has been issued in various districts.
In accordance with the current indicators, heavy rain will be concentrated in the eastern region of the state and West Ghat region, and it is likely to cause landslides.
As per the estimated quantitative rainfall, 51mm up to 75mm rainfall has been predicted at the edge of Bharathuzha, Periyar, Periyar, Upper Puriyar, Meenachil and Pamba on October 20, while rainfall 38mm to 50mm has been predicted in Achankovil.
For October 21, 51mm to 75mm rainfall has been predicted in Bharathuzha, Periyar, Periyar Bawah, Periyar above, Meetachil, Pamba, Chalakudy and Achankovil River Banks.
For October 22, 38mm to 50mm rainfall has been predicted at Bank Bharathuzha, and 26mm to 37mm at the edge of Periyar, Periyar above, Meetachil, Pamba, Chalakudy and Achankovil.
