More than half the post of empty doctors at Ghaziabad Hospital

Ghaziabad: Health Services at the Joint District Hospital (DCH), which serves patients from Sanjay Nagar, Kavi Nagar and coexist villages, have been affected due to severe lack of doctors.
The hospital, which viewed an average of 900 patients in the Ministry of Out-Panas (OPD) every day, currently only has 16 doctors against 39 posts subject to sanctions.
The hospital authorities said they had written to the state government four times in the past half a year but did not receive a response so far.
Fifth letter, DCH (CMS) Medical Supervisory Head Dr.
Sanjay Teotia said, sent to the State Health Department on September 30.
The letter, said Dr.
Teotia, clearly stated that the lack of a large doctor in DCH had affected the function of hospitals and emergency and trauma centers.
On Sunday, Dr.
Teotia told TII that he had pursued a matter of doctor’s promises with the state and administrative government.
According to hospital authorities, DCH does not have one surgeon and senior medical staff on the posts subject to sanctions in each of the four and two.
The last surgeon, said source, was promoted as the head of a medical officer and was transferred to another district about eight months and since then there was no new promise made.
Most cases of operations come to DCH are currently being referred to the MMG District Hospital or other government hospitals, they said.
Recently, hospital management has written to district authorities not to send medico-legal cases involving a surgeon to DCH.
Post senior medical officers, who attend patients in OPD and emergency wards, in addition to post-mortem houses, also lying empty over the past few months.
Likewise, after the last heart expert at DCH retired three years ago, there was no appointment of fresh meeting.
The post of a woman’s medical supervisor to manage the list of names of female doctors among other things, said the source, never filled since the hospital was built in 2008.
The hospital also faces major problems in running an emergency center and trauma.
Against seven-posted posts, DCH currently only has one emergency (human) medical officer, while there are two emo women against three-approved positions.
