Chennai: South Railway will increase the number of services at the MRT-Velachery-Beach MRT part of August 13.
The route Chennai beach – Velachery will have 70 services and Velachery – Chennai Beach will have 70 hours of service on weekdays, adding 13 services every direction.
On Sundays, there will be 48 services at Chennai Beach – Velachery and 48 services at Velachery-Beach Route as 10 services on each route will be added.
This will encourage the number of Suburban Chennai services from 630 trains to 656 services per day on weekdays and from 451 trains up to 471 trains per day on Sundays.
