CHENNAI: Throughout lockdown, more girls are turning to yoga to help overcome the blues, as per a poll conducted by Enamor for International Yoga Day, which falls on June 21.
In accordance with this, 60% girls turned to yoga because their preferred option of exercise throughout the ordeal, 85% girls agree that yoga can help beat stress and stress, also 75% girls state that yoga helps develop a confident self-image.
The poll was conducted online in June 2021 by 2,200 girls from throughout the nation.
Of them, 70% girls were at the 25 to 44 years age bracket, 20% over 44 decades old and 10 percent between 18 to 24 decades.
The economists are divided 60/40 between operating professionals and homemakers.
The benefits of yoga are all well known by girls — 70 percent of the surveyed agreed that yoga may usher one to a healthful way of life and 60% favored this action over other types of exercise throughout the pandemic because of the large number of advantages it provides.
Does yoga help reduce tension and manage stress, it can help build endurance, balance and endurance (53 percent ), increases mood (45 percent ) and develops a more positive body image (75 percent ) that contributes hugely to psychological health.
Girls are taking to exercising to stay emotionally and physically healthy.
More than 60 percent of girls surveyed promise to exercise over three times per week.
Many girls (61 percent ) also want to jog, walk and run to keep active.
“Health is your new prosperity and also the pandemic has brought home this fact just like never before.
Our survey clearly points for the trend with a growing number of women prioritising being busy now to remain both emotionally and physically healthy,” explained Sandra Daniels, vice president, Enamor, at a media release.
