Moscow: Russian Top Diplomat on Tuesday said that Moscow “was in a hurry” to recognize the new Taliban government in Afghanistan and called on the inclusive dialogue of all political forces in the country.
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia was “just like all other countries” and “in no hurry to recognize” the Taliban government.
At the same time, Lavrov recorded “pushing the signal from the Taliban, which expressed their desire to have a government participation of other political power”.
His statement came when the Taliban in Kabul stated “Amnesty” throughout Afghanistan and urged women to join their government.
Lavrov also said Moscow supports “initial national dialogue inclusive with the involvement of all politics and recognition troops in Afghanistan”.
Russia refers to that the Taliban terrorist organization in 2003, but since it has held several rounds of talks in Afghanistan, last in March, involving the group.
Moscow, who fought for 10 years in Afghanistan, which ended with the withdrawal of Soviet troops in 1989, has made a diplomatic comeback as a mediator, reaching Afghan faction as it has been influenced by the US in the country.
