The donkey owner says every animal costs between Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000.
They said that around 125 donkeys owned by 34 workers and brick burning transporter had been stolen for the past few days.
Local residents claim that Marri has around 500 to 700 donkeys but almost none of them have been registered with the authorities.
One owner said the donkey milk was very popular for his shoulding health benefits.
