Mumbai: The country reported 68 new cases of Omicron on Monday, took a cumulative amount of variants that spread to 578 in Maharashtra.
From new cases, 40 came from Mumbai, 14 from Pune and 14 from Nagpur.
Of the total, 259 (45%) has been repatriated.
Show state data from 2,699 samples sorted since December 1, around 21.4% have been tested for Omicron.
Officials said most Omicron cases had been light or asymptomatic.
Civil officials said Mumbai cases covered 13 international travelers, eight of which were not the city residents.
14 Other travelers are detected during supervision in the community.
A total of 115 contacts are tracked and all tested negatively.
Civic officials said about 157 international travelers who had Omicron in Mumbai, 151 had run out.
No patients suffer from severe illness.
Four cases in Nagpur included a six-year-old boy who had traveled to Uganda and Dubai with his family before landing in Mumbai last month.
Three other cases include a 47-year-old woman, and two men, 36 and 28.
The woman went to England and the men to Dubai.
