Most cases of omicrons in the state are travelers from low-risk countries

Thiruvananthapuram: The country reported 17 cases of omicron again took total tally into 345 cases.
From new cases, 13 came from low-risk countries and three of high-risk countries.
Cases reported in Ernakulam, two in Palakkad and one in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrishikode, and Wayanad.
Of the 345 cases, 231 comes from low-risk countries and 78 of high-risk countries.
Contact cases are 34 and two cases have been reported among domestic tourists.
The state reported 5,797 positive cases of 45,691 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
TPR has increased to 12.68%.
Among new cases detected, 5,198 qualified for vaccination, 290 has taken a dose, 3,083 has taken doses and 1,825 does not even take one dose.
With 19 deaths again in the last few days noted as Covid death and 147 deaths added from the appeal received, the dead victim had risen to 49,757.
At the same time, 2,796 patients had recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 5,309 cases have been infected through local deployment.
The contact source infection cannot be traced to 320.
Thiruvananthapuram reported the highest number of cases – 1,486.
