Nagpur: In the deviation from the transfer process for Constabulary, which was previously dominated by clerical staff, Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief last week posted in a qualified place to work at the police station or their choice unit based on availability.
Previously, the police did not say in their transfer communicated through a general list released after the process was resolved by the establishment board.
Expelled, the top police also decided to provide additional workers to several police stations based on crime statistics and past incidents.
About 800 qualified police officers have turned out to transfer administration and other 200-250 with special requests.
Kumar allocates a post to the police in an open meeting based on the choices stated by the police in their application.
DCP, headquarters, Sandeep Pakhale and ADDL CP Sunil Phulasi are present during the process.
Kumar ensured the position of labor for each police station and special units such as branches of crime, traffic, cyber cells were also updated.
An officer who is part of the process says that there is no room for all allegations or malpractices in the current system.
“List of transferred transfers, updated in front of every one and the post made in front of everyone in the open hall,” the officer said.
