Mumbai: Maharashtra on Friday reported 3,286 new Coronavirus cases and 51 deaths that took the state infection calculation to 65,37,843 and the death toll became 1,38,776, a health department official said.
With 3,933 patients were removed from the hospital, the number of cases restored rose to 63.57,012.
Maharashtra now has 39,491 active cases.
There were 2,58,653 people in home quarantine and 1,462 others in institutional quarantine.
The recovery rate of Covid-19 Maharashtra is at 97.23 percent, while the mortality rate is 2.12 percent.
The cumulative number of Coronavirus tests conducted in the country rose to 5.78.19,385 after 1,72,870 samples were examined since Thursday night.
A total of 10 districts – Yavatmal, Bhandara, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Hingoli, Washim, rural parts of Jalgaon, Nanded, Amaravati and Nagpur – did not report Covid-19 new cases on Friday.
Corporate City of Bhivandi-Nijampur, Malegaon, Parbhani, Nanded, Akola and Chandrapur also did not report new cases.
The Ahmednagar district reported 691 the highest new infection was followed by the city of Mumbai and suburbs in 446.
Satara Regency reported the highest seven deaths.
Among the eight regions of Maharashtra, the Pune region reported 1,065 new Covid-19 cases followed by 933 in the Mumbai region.
The Nashik region reported 817 new cases, Kolhapur 322, Latur 104, Aurangabad 23, Nagpur Nine and the Akola region reported 13 infections.
Of the 51 new fatality, the highest 15 each was reported in the Pune and Kolhapur region, followed by 11 in Mumbai, seven in the Nashik area, two in the Latura region and one from the Aurangabad region.
The Nagpur and Akola regions did not report the new death of Coronavirus.
The city of Mumbai and suburban witnessed 446 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths, while Pune City reported 141 cases and six fatalities.
Of the 38,491 patients active in the state, Pune District had 9,530 patients the highest.
