Most reported 1,553 Covid-19 cases, 26 deaths

Mumbai: Maharashtra on Saturday reported 1,553 positive cases of Coronavirus and 26 deaths while 1,682 patients recovered, said the state health department.
The new addition to pushing Tally Covid-19 in Maharashtra to 65.89.982, the victim died to 1,39,760, and the number of recovery became 64.16,998, leaving the country with 29,627 active cases.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases is now at 97.38 percent and mortality rate is 2.12 percent, the department said in a statement.
With 1,00,944 new tests, the number of samples examined so far in Maharashtra rose to 6.09.09.99, he said.
The city of Mumbai reported 319 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths, took Caseload to 7.51,293 and the number of deaths to 16,180.
The Mumbai division saw 582 cases and five deaths, which raised the count of infection in the region to 16.91,183 and the toll road to 35,395, the department said.
The Nashik division reported 385 new cases, including 230 in the Ahmednagar district.
Pune Division saw 402 infections, division of Kolhapur 119, division of Aurangabad 24, and the Latur Division 35.
In the Akola Division, two cases were reported in the Buldhana district and not one death because of Covid-19.
The Nagpur Division saw four cases, including one in Nagpur and three districts in the city of Nagpur.
No fresh Covid-19 death reported, said the department.
