Mumbai: Mumbai registered the lowest number of -348 – in more than five months on Monday, while the country for the second day in a row registered less than 7,000 Covid cases.
The last time the city had a low number of cases on February 2 (334).
“The Covid situation improved throughout the country, including in Kolhapur who saw a worrying Spurt in the case last month,” said Dr.
Shashank Joshi, who is a member of the State Task Force in Covid-19.
Maharashtra registered 6,910 cases on Tuesday compared to 6,017 days earlier.
In the same period, death rose from 66 to 147, but active cases fell to 94,593 from 96,375.
In Mumbai, 10 deaths were registered, taking a total toll to 15,787 so far.
BMC conducts 22,015 tests compared with an average of 30,000 every day, but the level of position is below 2% at 1.59%, the BMC Daily Covid Update said.

Joshi said the assignment unit conducted a review on Monday from the 10 worst districts where the daily test level of the daily test was more than 10%.
