Dairy’s leading milk supplier has increased milk prices in Delhi-NCR and other cities by Rs 2 per liter with the effects of Sunday because of higher input costs.
It was last raised milk prices in December 2019.
From July 1, Amul has climbed ASI price by Rs 2 per liter.
Mrs.
Dairy said “forced to raise the price of liquid milk by Rs 2 / liter in Delhi-NCR with the effect of 11 July 2021.” The new price will apply to all milk variants.
“The company has experienced inflationary pressures in the overall input costs that have increased multi-folds in the past year, accompanied by pressure in milk production because of the ongoing pandemic,” said the statement.
In the past year, pond prices have increased by 8-10 percent coupled with installation of processing operational costs, packaging, and logistics.
“It relates to note that the price of milk mining alone has strengthened around 4 percent in the past three-four weeks.
Despite paying higher prices for the procurement of milk in the past year, consumer prices remain intact.
With this revision, the price of milk is undergoing revisions 4 percent, “said Mrs.
