Mumbai: In a city where the police housing has historically been in a short supply, the rebuilding of BDD in Central Mumbai is now threatening to reduce the number of quarters of services available in the scheme to the police more than half.

The government’s resolution said the decision would be informed to the Bombay High Court where these families had submitted two petitions.
Activist Salil Rameshchandra said it was a big giveaway and would set an unhealthy precedent.
