Paris: The MotoGP world champion six times Marc Marquez will take part in pre-season testing next week at Sepang after recovering from a double vision, the Honda team announced on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Spaniard was suffered from diplopia since the off-road training accident at the end of October.
He then missed the last two rounds of the season and Jerez’s test session in December.
He was given a green light for the Malaysian test on February 5-6 after rising first on the Motocross lane then at the MotoGP circuit in Portimao and Aragon.
Last week’s medical examination confirmed the maintenance of “full success” with Marquez “now in a suitable condition for riding a MotoGP bicycle”.
Marquez missed the whole season 2020 and several of the first 2021 races due to a serious injury to his right arm supported in a racing accident.
Despite sustainable weakness in the arm, he won three races to finish seventh in the world championship last year.
After Sepang, Marquez will go to Indonesia for more testing before the 2022 season will take place in Qatar on March 6.
