Move the advantages of tigers to curb human-animal conflicts: min

Chandrapur: Move the advantages of the tiger from Bramhapuri and establish the main response team (PRT) consisting of local youths in 150 villages to curb the increasing incidence of animal conflicts in the Bramhapuri Forest Division, said Minister Guardian Vijay Wadettiwar.
Wadettiwar held a meeting with PCCF (wildlife) Sunil Limaye, APCCF, East Nagpur, Huda, and local officers and administrative officers about this issue and directed them to take strong steps to mitigate increased conflict in the area.
The Guardian minister claimed that there were more than 150 very sensitive villages located in the suburban forest area in Bramhapuri.
“The number of tigers has grown to 110, while there are 114 leopards in the forest division.
These predatory numbers are higher than Tadoba.
There is a strong hatred among the people against predators following a higher number of attacks,” he said.
Wadettiwar directed forest officials to see the possibility of moving tigers.
He underlined the need to shift tigers from conflict-prone areas and also from areas where the attack had not taken place.
“Valuable tigers, but human life are equally valuable.
Therefore, it is necessary to take steps to prevent predator intrusion in villages and train residents to handle situations that might arise,” he said.
The minister directed officials to choose five capable young men from each village and built domestic workers in 150 villages that were very sensitive to conflict.
Establishing a sun fence around the suburban agricultural fields and placed a channel fence around the sensitive village by expanding the expanse of SYAGA Prasad Mookerjee Jan Vikas Yojana in 150 sensitive tiger villages discussed during the meeting.
Wadettiwar also recommended RS10,000 assistance to farmers because they did not conduct agriculture in the suburb area and procurement of special sticks to help them drive predators.
He also directed officials to see the possibility of starting forest safari circuits in areas that have the number of tigers and leopards and help locals get livelihoods through tourism.
The minister told that in the coming days, he would meet with the Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray to discuss the issue of mitigation of human conflicts and promoting ecotourism at Bramhapuri.
