Mozambique Delegation Visit, Discuss Loco Export Problems

Times News Network Varanasi: Delegation of six high-level members of the Mozambique train along with Rite officials, Indian Railways PSU, visiting Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) on Monday.
According to BLW spokesman Rajesh Kumar, BLW has signed an agreement with a rite in November 2020 to supply six locomotives to Mozambique.
In accordance with the agreement, BLW handed over the sixth and last locomotive to the Rite in August 2021.
The high-level delegation of the Mozambic train consists of the CFM Board / CFM Miguel Jose Matabel, Head of Cabinate Minister of Transportation & Communication Antonio Manuel Mateus, Executive Board Member, Finance CFM ABOOBACAR Adamo Mussa, Executive Director, CFM-C Antonio Francisco Manuel Biel, director of the train, CFM-S Teodomiro Angelo, board advisor, CFM Arun Kumar Narasimha Pai.
In a meeting was held under the leadership of General Manager Anjali Goyal, the delegation had detailed technical discussions with the head of the department regarding the export of locomotives to Mozambique.
All problems related to Mozambique locomotives are discussed during the discussion.
This delegation also visited various workshops including new block stores, machine test stores, Loco assembly stores, and checking processes related to the production of machinery and available manufacturing facilities.
Cape Gauge Diesel Locos exported to Mozambique is produced in India and financed by India.
This is the first AC-AC traction system BLW 3000 HP, Cape Gauge Loco.
This locomotive capacity is 2255 tons at a speed of 100 kmpj.
The most important item of the engine – crank-case assembly is made at home in BLW.
This is exported through limited rites.
