Noida: The line above the plaque at the foot of the Samrat statue Mihir Bhoj, which was launched last week with CM at Ceple PG College took another turn on Tuesday after BJP MP Surendra Nagar shared the plaque image with the word ‘Gurjar.
‘say on it.
Plaque has been borne since members of the Gurjar community protested during the opening of the statue, accusing the word ‘Gurjar’ has been removed from plaque.
The Gurjar community has held several protests since then.
The plaque on display on Tuesday read – “Gurjar Pratihar Samrat Mihir Bhoj Ki Pratima (statue).” Nagar, who also offered a flower tribute in the statue, said, “The Row has been completed now.
It is an opposition effort to mislead people.” He also tweeted his photo standing in front of the statue, the charity in full view, with Description: “Satyamev Jayate”.
Asked why the statue was borne and the police were deployed, Nagar denied the statue was covered and added that the police were deployed to thwart delinquency with plaque.
Then on that day, Akhil Bharatiya Gurjar Parishad National Vice President and Azad Samaj Party Leader Ravindra Bhati reached PG College and sprinkled “Ganga Jal” on the statue.
Bhati said she wanted to “purify the” statue.
“Like people from the BJP who had issued the word ‘Gurjar’ from the plaque in the middle of the night before the opening of the statue, in the same way, around 3am on Tuesday, the same person put the word back.” He said.
SP leader Shyam Singh Bhati, who is also the President of the District of Akhil Bharatiya VIR Gurjar Mahasabha, meanwhile, reached the site with a group of supporters and allegedly blackmate the names of BJP functionaries mentioned in the name of the king.
The local SP unit keeps away from action.
SP District President Inder Pradhan said Shyam Singh Bhati did not tell the party and went there only in the capacity of the Virt of Mahasabha VIR Office.
“This is not an action by SP.
We will issue a notification of performances to Bhati,” he said.
