New Delhi: Former BJP President Delhi Manoj Tiwari and MP Delhi Timur Gambir on Friday called Health Minister for Union Dr.
Harsh Vardhan and demanded hospitals such as AIIM for the Trans-Yamuna region in the capital.
BJP officials submitted a memorandum to the Minister of Health who accused that the area was home to more than 80 lakh people, but did not have good health facilities.
Because of the lack of adequate health care facilities, many people die every year, they claim.
Tiwari, a member of parliament from the Northeast Delhi, said that after independence, there was always apathy towards trans-yamuna in terms of development.
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, hundreds of families living in this area suffered sadly.
Hospitals such as AIIMS will prove to be useful for the Crore population, including a large number of people from urban areas and rural areas near Uttar Pradesh,” Tiwari said.
Gambir said, “The AAP Government has not implemented the central government Ayushman Bharat scheme, which is proven to give life to the poor throughout the country”.
He is also urgent for the need for sophisticated health facilities.
MP Delhi Timur states that the opening of such a hospital will examine the arbitrist private hospital too.
Neelkant Bakshi, Tiwari’s political advisor, said the health minister convinced two members of parliament that he would see their request and a meeting of senior ministry officials would soon be called to explore the prospect of the opening of the hospital.
