Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnivis on Sunday said that the function of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) needs to be reviewed.
He made a statement while reacting to death because of suicide from prospective MPSC which took extreme steps because the final interview of the state civil service test had not yet occurred.
Swapnil Lonkar died after hanging himself in the area of Hadapsar Pune and leaving a suicide note.
He has cleared the initial and main examination of 2019 and is waiting for the last interview.
He has cleared the 2020 preliminary exam too.
Fadnavis stated that suicide lonakar was unfortunate and added, “It is very serious (material) and the MPSC function needs to be reviewed.
Interviews did not occur.
Some posts (members) are empty.
These students provide examinations with a lot of hope and if the exam is not done for two years , then he pushed them into depression.
“We ask the government to conduct a review to bring change in the MPSC function.”
